Steel Bridge 2022-2023 Halloween Event

Last week, UBC Steel Bridge held its annual Halloween social. The event started with an intense 40-player Kahoot, with questions based on thumb speed and pure luck. Next, 11 contestants competed in the costume contest, showcasing their costumes to secure the most votes.

Our next activity was balloon decorating, where each person had 10 minutes to design a “pumpkin” and then convince one of the four judges that theirs was most worthy of a prize. Following this event, and to most people’s surprise - the next task was to pop other people’s balloons, and the last person standing with a balloon around their ankle won a gift card to the best ice cream shop on campus. The room instantly filled with shrieks and sudden bursts.

The running boundary shrank as more people were eliminated, and the final contestants battled vigorously before an absolute champion emerged. The Halloween event closed with a group photo, and as the crowd dissolved, all the candy disappeared.
